The app is available for free, and is full of basketball related content that is designed towards helping an amateur player make the most out of his or her training time.

HoopsGuru is full of great feature's designed to make you a better player. It has drills, helps you master the fundamentals, teaches you how to lead, and gives you a whole new view of basketball.

Vision behind the app

One of the challenges that I have faced when working on my basketball talents is a lack of drills that I can easily access in the gym. Usually I will read about some before heading to the gym on the web. The primary purpose of this app was to provide drills that you could carry with you in your pocket. Just bring your phone to the gym and you'll have a bunch of drills. As I worked on the app I realized that I could make more out of it than just teaching you drills. I had a notebook full of notes from a basketball camp. All of that knowledge in a paper notebook, only available to me. With this app I've been able to put that knowledge in a form that is more useful. The app icon shows the four fundamentals of basketball. This app morphed into something that focuses on these fundamentals more than just the drills. By mastering the fundamentals, I hope that users will be able to create their own personalized drills. 

A little about me

I'm a 16 year old basketball player who became interested in coding applications. Over the past year I've spent hours on end bringing this idea and project to a reality.
